I don't know why this is, but my guess is that computer developers have never made the switch to DVD-ROM because of potential compatibility issues that could arise from the vast array of available DVD drives. Whereas PS2 developers would have no such problem since you only have to make your game compatible with one fixed configuration. A quick google search told me that DVD-ROMs have 7x the storage capacity of CD-ROMs - that's approx. 4,550MB! I don't know of any game that could possibly use that much data, Dynasty Warriors 4 included. I mean, yeah, the textures are high-quality, the sound is top-notch and there's tons of it, there's the 60+minute soundtrack, some 30 movie clips, at least 30 unique "levels", etc... but that still doesn't add up to 4,550MB in my mind.[/quote]
