Your love of Xenosaga is affecting your mental processing unit apparently.
I had to clip out all the parts that involve your butchering of the quote system. Too bad! Maybe if you did not like Xenosaga so much it would've been easier for you to handle.
See title, and I had been wondering. I've played more than that, but not the entirety, which is why I'm reserving judgement until I've finished it.
Even though a game sucks when it sucks, and its chance to get better should be before the part where it sucks instead of after. Apparently you'd give a game a fair rating even if 90 hours of it sucked if the 91st hour was good. Because you are a fool. You got kicked out of the army because you weren't a decent human being.
It's striking me as a game somewhat like Persona; the plot starts off somewhat weak, then improves WAY into the game (about 10 hours in)- but it improves so much that it makes the earlier tedium actually worth it.
Yeah right. If I gave every game 10 hours to stop sucking, a lot of them would never stop sucking. Even if they were more than 10 hours. What the fuck kind of game makes you play for 10 hours to stop being bad? It would have to become GTA3 after those first ten hours or something, which of course it does not. Even if GTA3 sucked for the first 10 hours before becoming good, it would still be a shitty game. In the time it takes to get through perhaps the worst 10 hours of game in game history, I could be playing mindblowingly better games. Like Tetris, or Solitaire.
The reviews of Xenosaga I've read have implied that it's one of the most philisophically deep games since MGS, but it hasn't been up to the point that you've played. (Or, to be fair, that I've played.)
I guess they forgot to put philisophical depth in the early parts of their supposedly philosophically deep game. JUST LIKE METAL GEAR SOLID WHEN THAT ONE BAD GUY WAS LIKE "NO I WILL KILL YOU" AND THEN YOU KILL HIM OMG THAT WAS SO DEEP The philosophical parts of MGS were the worst parts of the entire game. The sneaking around and snapping people's necks + espionage shit were pretty cool, but that CAN LOVE BLOOM ON THE BATTLEFIELD is shit only an anime buttfucking faggot (who doesn't know how to perceive anything correctly if it happens to be from Japan) could like.
By the way, when you wrote the review, were you aware that the "OMG EVIL GUY" was actually ***SPOILERS***Addicted to eating tender raw realian brains?***SPOILERS*** I mean, that's hardly "he likes war so he's evil" evil. That's holy living fuck evil.
I don't know, in order to be actually considerably evil, he'd have to be more than a one-dimensional plot contrivance. Which is what every Xenosaga character is. I could've guessed that he had some kind of addiction to eating Realien stuff, since that one other guy did and it supposedly had an effect on people like that. I figured he got some kind of super queer power through cannibalism crap like that, since they already bothered foreshadowing it (which in this game does everything but make it obvious, which is your big clue that it should be obvious, or maybe I'm just THAT good). Here's the catch though: I didn't care.
