RE: I think it was pretty obvious what I was saying, dumbass

I had no idea that Flashpoint was in this group. I was totally under the impression that it was a straight-ahead shooter. Time to go grab it.
I guess you could say that Operation Flashpoint is to me what Freedom Force is to you; If it had a dynamic campaign I would consider it one of the best games ever. The scripted mission structure really bring the game down, since they're not executed particularly well (squadmates that are killed return in the next mission, voice acting & dialogue is lame, &c.), but it's still better than 99% of the FPSs out there. My favorite part of the game: One save per mission (on longer missions there are some autosaves). This increases the realism even more than the fact that you can only take a maximum of two rifle bullets before you die. There's always the feeling of only having one chance to do something right, and you can never attempt to be like Rambo and take out 10 men by yourself. Of course if you actually succeed in killing the 10 soldiers, you do feel like a fucking action hero, moreso than any other game I've ever played. The mod community is also great, mostly because there isn't one. Most people just release small "add-ons" of a weapon or vehicle or soldier. You don't even need mods, really, just some free add-ons and the built-in mission editor.
