Re: Best Fighter of all time

One Must Fall 2097 In my opinion the pinnacle of the street fighter-2-style fighters before power bars and pre-set combos and shit ruined these games. Now it's freeware. Plus it features Giant Robots. Giant Robots who want to KICK YOUR ASS. There's a sequel coming out in the near future. I'm not sure if it'll suck or not, but some of the robots (like the Force) seem a tad gay. Still... Note: When playing OMF, go to gameplay options and turn the speed DOWN. The Mischief Maker awaits OMF 2 more eagerly than MOO 3
My brother do I talk about my brother enough? I feel like I'm starring in Flowers in the Attic here. loves this game and returns to it whenever modern technology lets him down. I have spent probably months, if not years, of my life watching him play video games, and OMF was always outstanding to watch. But I never played it, myself. I was always afraid he would catch me with it, and close on the heels of that he would wreck my pride. BTW was it you who <s>recommended</s> pimped Super Running Fire 68k to me? Because I pimped it to him and now he has two obsessions. I too love it but it's in a different league entirely than the SNES shooters I cut my teeth on. <Zseni's Hidden Tale of Video Game Wage> <So it was the late 80's or very early 90's, Tetris was out - we must have been playing it on a 386 or something, I can't remember. Anyway it was The Game at our house and everyone - parents, neighbors, and especially my brother - all played it. I tried but, you know, I'm a girl, and the results were tragic.> <After weeks of work I finally got one high score, the #5 slot, miraculously. Yay! I was so happy I made my entire family celebrate with me.> <My accursed demon-spawn brother sees it and two hours later he has pushed it off the board. MY SCORE. MY HIGH SCORE. He did it on PURPOSE, too.> <I was livid. And then I fuckin' BUSTED SOME SHIT OUT. Rage had mirabile dictu made me smarter, harder, with amazing godlike reflexes. By the next day I had pushed ALL his scores off and after that I owned the motherfucking high score board against all comers. To this day the echoes of my anger stream down the years; under no circumstances will I ever lose another puzzle game to him again.>
