The jerk who takes the job is going to be much hated for rejecting more than he reads, and should be ready to go to war with contributors. The upside is potential soap opera drama which spills into the forums. Also, article submissions may become even more scarce if articles are being rejected left and right. It won't be appealing for an aspiring contributor to think about wasting time writing an article that has a good chance of never seeing daylight.
