I'm sure if you BREEZE through BG2 like a motherfucker you can cut down the time substantially, but I'm certain I logged over 100 hours. No joke. It was honestly Morrowind-esque when it came to getting quest after quest after fucking quest (I still haven't won Morrowind with my very first character - what the hell!). Whereas I believe P:T is in the 20-30 hour range. Then again I know how to win P:T easily in a general sense now, so I probably eliminate aimless wandering when I play now - I'm not sure if it took much longer my first time through or not. The comparative lack of optional areas probably helps.[/quote] P:T played for the first time is a hell of a lot longer than successive sessions, IMO. Think about reading all that text for the first time, the not-so-obvious plot points/locations you needed to get to to move the game along. If that game didn't have running, only THE LADY OF PAIN knows how long it would have taken. Playing that game for the first time is an easy second to BG2. The lower level of combat helps too, I think, especially for an inventory fag like me. You kill some bad guys, they drop 5 copper and a rusty fucking knife. Where's my ph4+ 73\/\/+z? Who cares, but there's a lot less "mandatory" dicking around to do in P:T when you're replaying it on the straight and narrow. [/quote]
