Re: My personal list. YMWV.
I like the title. Isn't it obviously in reference to some place called ''Neverwinter''?. Naming a place after an absence of some feature is unusual and suggests not that feature's opposite, but rather its loss - perhaps a land that lives under the dwindling sun of a perpetual autumn, where you keep thinking the first snowflake must be right around the corner, but it never comes. It's kind of appropriate to imagine the D&D license wasting away to decrepitude in such a place - fouling its bedsheets and banging on the wall for more porridge and boring anyone who will listen with spittle-flecked tales of its former bold adventures in procedureal world generation and collaborative narrative and orc killing. You used to love these stories, when the D&D license was younger you would beg to hear them over and over again, but now you find yourself gazing distractedly out the grimy window at the brown trees and the brittle grass thinking ''Jesus, won't winter ever come?'' and half-seriously considering holding a pillow over the old guy's face until he stops breathing and, God willing, talking. How much xp do you think you might get for that?
