Synchro- simultaneous SteamWorld Heist Darkest Dungeons

Same basic art look and base building portion. The combat feels like SteamWorld Heist, except you plot out actions ahead of time before everyone executes them at once. You are told the exact order each unit will get to act in. The actions you see on the bar are divided into blue (go off pre-attack, usually a dash to get out of the way or in position) that suck up a very limited energy resource, orange regular attack (use a plentiful resource that regenerates), then purple (takes place after all attacks, usually a normal free move). You have to plan where the enemy will be and where they're attacking. Things can get complicated as everyone gets a free 2nd move if they end a dash on a platform to bounce off of; everyone is a cyberninja flipping out to kill people. Difficulty levels give you different amounts of information instead of giving enemies bigger numbers. Easy tells you exactly where they're moving and attacking. Normal tells you what they're doing but not where. I don't think Hard tells you anything? Use your ninja pre-dashing to dodge as much as you can, save your status effects for the turns you can't dodge. I like it so far a lot better than SteamWorld because it avoids the most annoying part of turn based games sitting around waiting for everyone to slowly take a turn. Shit happens fast once you hit the execute button. Free early access signup right now to play the first couple levels. Tutorial doesn't waste your time with pointless shit "PRESS WASD TO MOVE THE CAMERA AROUND DO THIS TEN TIMES BEFORE CONTINUING" fuck off. I'm definitely picking this up when it comes out.[/quote]
