Was there ever a thread about Silicon Valley?
Started watching it for the first time right after hearing the WeWork episode of Behind the Bastards. 3 episodes in and I'm not sure I want to continue. Feels like what happens when you take all the quality material of Office Space and spread it thin over an entire series. Mike Judge has experience working in culty tech startups. All the funny parts so far have entirely been the scenes at the Hooli company. Everything else reminds you why everyone involved in post Season 2 of The Office are the unfunniest people alive. Kumail Nanjiani and Zach Woods are atrocious and drag down every scene they talk. T.J. Miller makes us wonder why anyone thought the world needed another Jake Busey. I think I'm calling it quits after episode 3. Unless someone can tell me it gets better? Judge had the material for all the Hooli bits, but every other moment is filled in by what feels like Paul Feig's terrible improv approach.
