It's a collection of the most condescending and arrogant creators of JavaScript shitware for ad companies and FAANG (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, Google) employees running their FUCKING MOUTHS about shit that they all think they are instantly experts on. These overpaid manchildren will see a headline and story about a choice a pilot made, or someone at NASA or someone that is in every way their better and start running their mouths about how they would have done it, or if they had considered x, y and z. Which, of course the people who aren't little webshits did. This thread highlights many such cases where these little snots should just shut up, but I think the "classic" hackernews comment is <a href="https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=9224">this</a>, in 2007, on Dropbox before Dropbox really took off. Nobody faults him for not predicting that Dropbox would become famous and useful, but look at how it is presented. <i>"I have a few qualms with this app." "Building it is quite trivial."</i> Oh fuck you, Brandon. It's a safe environment for them because the one moderator, dang, is more concerned with people not attacking one another than anything else, so you get people that severely needed to be cyber-bullied saying whatever dumb shit comes into their head. The site makes anyone reasonable with an ounce of emotional intelligence that works in tech feel great shame.
