It was pointed out to me that surrendered planet vaporization is <i>actually a game settings option when starting a game.</i> As weird as that sounds. It's the button that says "surrendered colonies" which toggles whether "colonies transfer ownership upon surrender". If they are set not to transfer, they go poof. It's decisions like this that make me wonder what the hell they're thinking at Stardock. ANYWAY, other people are reporting this issue, so maybe it'll be addressed. The real one, where civs just rage quit or whatever and you're left with 3 other civs on an absurdly huge map. You can disable AI surrendering, and I'm testing that now. But the change log bullet mentioned AI mergers so I wonder what that means, and how long it'll take to find out. But I'm testing the game because I guess nobody else does it at Stardock ;)[/quote]
