Ducky Keyboards, I like them.
It's been a rough few weeks, so I bought a Ducky mechanical keyboard. They have some weird stuff. I bought a pretty normal one, the "Ducky One 2 RGB LED Double Shot PBT Mechanical Keyboard." I got to pick what kind of keys I wanted for it. I am in a bit of a tough spot with key styles. I have used Cherry Blue and Cherry Brown - I don't care for Cherry Brown (my Mac keyboard uses those, so I am pretty much stuck with it for work) and because I like Cherry Blue a great deal, I can't take the risk of trying a different style and hating it. I am in the same loop that people get into if they go to a restaurant and enjoy the first thing they ever order. I have a buckling spring IBM Model M style around here which I will sometimes use when I want to shake things up. But those three key styles are all I know. Anyway, I did go for the Cherry Blue keys, and the Ducky keyboard feels great. I was previously using a Das Keyboard and it had glued-on rubber feet that became unglued. I mean, we all did during the pandemic but I mean literally. I am really hoping the Ducky doesn't suffer the same fate. It has very, very small rubber feet up front and two plastic feet that raise it nicely in the back. (Although, I had forgotten to raise the feet until I typed this post, and it was perfectly fine. Now it is just better.) I'm just not sure why they are glued on up front. You can't really remove them and put them back, so why not just make the plastic molds and have the front feet built in? "Do away with rubbers" is what I always tell my twelve kids.
