Re: I need to make a thread for posting crap

I don't think I'm like normal people. I hear the Rolling Stones again and again, I go crazy. You've got these people that willingly listen to the same songs over and over, and they even will go on and on about it if you ask them, they like need this shit they like it so much, they can't work without it! And I sit quietly in the nearby cubicle seething with hate, because fuck that fucking shit! That's how you get me to hate something, have me hear it more than 20 times.
I grew up in Rochester, NY and the dominant radio station is WCMF 96.5, and they are playing the exact same setlist in 2022 that they were playing in 1989. I think they even totally got rid of Nirvana and Green Day, which I guess they were forced to add in the 90s. This is their most recent songs played:
Tom Sawyer Rush 10:43 AM Landslide (Remastered) Fleetwood Mac 10:40 AM Rockin' Into the Night 38 Special 10:36 AM Over the Hills and Far Away Led Zeppelin 10:31 AM Wherever I May Roam Metallica 10:18 AM Come Sail Away Styx 10:12 AM Born In the U.S.A. Bruce Springsteen 10:08 AM Unchained Van Halen 10:05 AM Pour Some Sugar On Me Def Leppard 9:34 AM Bad To The Bone George Thorogood & The Destroyers 8:30 AM
I mean, that's parody at this point. And it would almost be manageable if they didn't all agree that no "deep cut" could EVER be played! I was getting nostalgic and I realized that I had never listened to the entirety of "Foreigner 4." And hell, Lou Gramm went to the same community college I did. That's a really good track. It's the best track on the album! And I have never heard it before. I bought a new synthesizer that I will post about soon and I am really trying to "listen" to the keyboard tracks in various songs and they certainly play keyboard in that song, you have to give them that. Anyway, there's a zillion things wrong with the world, and "classic rock stations never daring to think about playing a non-single on an album from the 1970s" is one of them. Cowards. ICJ
