Re: Blame shifting

I'm betting this stellar customer service is why they were much cheaper than anybody else.
They were the worst anything I've ever encountered on the Internet.
They were told told to delete the online files and to delete all the backups. They followed directions. Some employee not writing back to John Q. Creexul about veronica's hosting account is not bad, it's normal. Let's not start bombing Iraq here.
A point of clarification: I get that the files are probably gone. I get that there's one guy working support for their company and he couldn't care less about Jhoh. They consider themselves to be elite because they offer PostGreSQL support and only two other companies on the face of the planet do it and they were probably pretty proud of that, much in the same way that Barbie was proud of it when it was working that way on his computer. I'm slightly disappointed, but not a whole lot by that. But while with them the site was down constantly. It was very slow. At one point they moved us to a new server and had regressed SB's password back to what it was when he originally signed up -- not that anyone knew that for two weeks. When shit like that happens I feel very frustrated: the lot of you have a million other things you could be doing with your time than refresh some stupid forum that can't ever stay up. So I guess it comes down to whether or not you believe SB in all of those things. (I see on refresh you mentioned just that.) It comes down to whether or not they failed to write him back because nobody asked or if they really were "busy" and blowing him off. If the reason I couldn't get into the site for a fortnight was because SB locked me out because he was thinking of nuking the site and only INC not being proved correct was stopping him, or if they really shunted his account back. Et cetera. I personally choose (and chose) to believe SB. Of course, I also chose to believe that his household wasn't going to erupt into a diorama of human suffering where his wife was shaking in rage on the phone for hours while they had her on hold so everything could be blown up real good, so what do I know. But it's my take that pghoster.com was a crappy outfit even before all this went down. The address I am aware of is support@pghoster.com. Presumably there is a phone number you can use to really get connected to someone as well, but I don't know what it is offhand. the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!
