I'm not happy to be correct

Literally every part was correct.
I was being a little indulgent since it was sci-fi... sadly, the writer(s) mindset is understandable. It might not be TV Tropes, however there's definitely "research" done from a shallow pool of sources before taking on a new project. For me the cynical soup broth was merely Star Wars (KOTOR, Ep2) + Strong Woman. Again, I'm posting this cynically to poke fun of media. I run the risk of being a totally wrong doofus, yet my heuristics pay back just as guessing the end scene of Life Is Strange from its E3 trailer. The aspect of a child soldier (tragic past) is to invoke emotional response, clone soldier & assassin is meant to be the 'answer' as to why a character can kick ass, memory loss/deletion is procrastination so you don't have to write it all now (maybe also from Wolverine).
It's an acceptable deviation from reality so I don't have to look at 180lb women
I'd rather see an attractive lady too. In this case we could stand to have some character flaws, motivation, and adversity too. Maybe the show actually succeeds there at the end? I don't know. The boilerplate is a victimhood origin with superpowers which ultimately tells us much more about the writers desires & ideology than the story itself. Superman is boring and making him a woman isn't a fundamental improvement.
