She was using an old .22 because the rich bastard who owned the farm didn't want to pay for a proper varmint rifle. I went along for moral support, and to deal with the bodies. Her first shot was good; opinions were split on the follow-up. Anyway, killing small mammals isn't exactly high-status work. It makes sense that a Mexican like Joe would have some familiarity with the tools. I imagine he's upset because a lot of well-meaning college graduates might as well be proposing environmental legislation that would make leaf blowers even heavier.[/quote]
