Fox had the rights to the X-Men so the X-books have been pushed into the background. Word is that's why they got rid of a lot of mutants in that Scarlet Witch storyline. Disney's buying Fox so they'll probably be retconned into mattering again. Fantastic 4 got dustbinned for the same reason but that team has always been terrible and kept alive out of begrudging duty to Lee/Kirby.
