Well Bold Blade came out today and I'd suggest getting Hammerfight instead.
I loved Paper Sorcerer as well, but I'm very leery of developers hopping genres. Especially turn-based RPGs to action games. Remember all the action games the AI War team made? They made a lot of them, and they're all garbage. What I've seen of Bold Blade honestly looks like a Flash Game you'd play on Kongranite that uses OCD stat-grinding in place of quality gameplay. Hammerfight, meanwhile, has a truly unique combat system with procedural environment destruction (smash a brick wall, knock over an oil lamp, set some decorative curtains on fire, fire spreads to the wooden supports, soon the entire arena is in flames as you smash your foes. It's the only game I've played that renders the "sharpness" of swords instead of treating them like baseball bats that go through people, and it rivals Brigador and Ring Runner for its insanely dense amount of lore. Just do not trust the game's mouse auto-calibration. If you're playing with a trackball, set the slider to 0 or you won't have any strength behind your strikes.
