Re: Le Pen, daughter of Le Pen

who made a splash in the 80s by calling the Holocaust a "detail" of WWII. How does an ancient one like yourself not remember this?
May I suggest you use your head for something other than a hatrack and re-read what I wrote. I said, "as being the typical American who does not really follow European politics." I don't even know who the PM of Canada is anymore, the last time I checked it was Stephen Harper. Oh, it's Justin Trudeau, son of former PM Pierre Trudeau who is a distant relative of the creator of the comic strip Doonesbury. And I don't know who Britain's PM is either, I'm not even sure if the that was there survived BREXIT or it caused a vote of no confidence. It's Theresa May, who started 16 June 2016, so if that was after the election for BREXIT that might be the case. That is more-or-less what happened. David Cameron supported the "stay" faction, and when it lost. He resigned. It took me about two minutes to find this out, it has no relevance to me and I'll probably forget it in a couple of days.
I learned about him from Jean-Luc Godard, who was horrified by the Holocaust remark, then three years ago said he wanted Marine Le Pen nominated for Prime Minister:
Asked by the newspaper the reasons why he took this stand, the film-director responded, “To shake things up, so that we make at least some moves towards changing things, even if they don’t really do so. It’s better than pretending to do nothing.
So even Godard is something of a Trump voter. This has been a digression but maybe it will help with the memory issues.
