HOW DARE YOU

NES 1) Super Mario Bros. 3 2) Super Mario Bros.
Mario 2 was objectively better than 1.
This is objectively the wrong opinion.

10) Contra
WHY IS THIS NOT IN THE TOP 3?
Because all of those other games are better. I love Bionic Commando so much I'd marry it.

17) Crystalis
I remember this being way more fun than Zelda. Worse music I guess?
I remember level grinding in order to proceed, which instantly makes it worse than Zelda.

23) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game
HOW IS THIS LOWER THAN FAXANADU?
I owned TMNT2 and it was great. Faxanadu (and Karnov) is a game I haven't played since I was a kid, but I also remember enjoying it a lot. It's hard to rank things by memory.

24) Life Force
It's the same game as Gradius which is ranked at the bottom?
Gradius isn't ranked at all because it turns out I didn't play it.

30) Solomon's Key
Fuck this game was impossible.
Also: fun and addictive. I still go back and play it sometimes.

75) Dragon Warrior
The original Final Fantasy was shit (sold entirely by Nintendo Power hype), but it was infinitely better than fucking Dragon Warrior. The only reason console rpgs took off was kids who only got 2 games a year needing to stretch the "value" of each one.
They both sucked, but Dragon Warrior was better. You're forgetting Final Fantasy hadn't implemented redirecting attacks from dead enemies and the fact that right out of the gate you were fighting 8 enemies at a time in long, tedious battles. Add in level grinding right from the start, and this game sucked even more than Dragon Warrior. I actually finished Dragon Warrior. Shit, I even finished Deadly Towers with a friend by going so far as drawing the goddamn dungeons on graph paper. On the other hand, Final Fantasy remains abandoned. To extend an olive branch, let us both at least agree that no one should ever go back and play either of these, and that they sure as FUCK aren't #8 and #11 of all time.

76) Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
If I find even one single non-shit game past this point....
I played this game so much I could get all the way to the end, but then Judge Doom would never die. Also, by the time you hit about 60 on the list you can start passing on games.

84) Kung-Fu
Fuck you! 3 steps above the trainwreck of Bad Dudes?
In retrospect, it's probably better than Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy, but let's not overestimate it being good.

107) Rampage
A lot less fun than people remember, but 50 places below goddamn Karnov?
I would rather play Karnov way more than Rampage, yes.
