Hahaha, okay, that's pretty good.
You could've easily played the too cool for school card, writing something condescending about how you come here for the mature political agreeing, not to get clowned in front of God and Mysterio Lollerson and everyone by a verbal globetrotter. Instead, you made the effort to engage me on my level, going so far as to put on what can only be described as a Foghorn Leghorn-type accent at one point? It was amazing and I laughed out loud. Thank you.
The point was that she found it politically unacceptable, which is different than finding it not fun. Also, as others have commented, whether it's better than most of the shit on RPS is beside the point, since RPS sucks.
I hate universal ammo in games. It's stupid, it's unrealistic, it's bad for gameplay, and worst of all, it could lead to soldiers putting the wrong kinds of bullets in their guns in real life. Someone more interested in fucking than killing might view universal lesbianism in the same light, only instead of bullets it's just empty guns rubbing up against each other. Good luck with that, ladies! The point is, developers can make their games any stupid way they want, and critics can take issue with any stupid thing they want. As long as no one's shooting each other and lesbians keep filming themselves trying to have sex, the system's working as intended. So what does that leave? The quality of the article itself, which I still maintain is awesome btw, and even you have to admit is the best reason to read RPS since we found out the S didn't stand for scissoring. Remember, Caltrops is every bit as much a journal as RPS. More, if you count the entire subforum dedicated to dreams we had. The next time someone takes issue with one of our articles, I think we'd all rather it was for the highly opinionated games complaining contained within, and not our obvious underlying political motivation.
