It's mostly true, although not really relevant

He takes individual donations, as any politician would. This prompted a really lame NYT "expose"... "politician accepts political donations from people, news at 11". The fact remains that Trump has contributed more of his own funds than any other candidate. Also, most really big donors have stayed away from his campaign. In case this is news to you, the establishment Republicans don't like Trump. He is not on board with NAFTA/TPP... basically he is against free trade and looser immigration rules/enforcement, which is Not Cool for most corporates.
