his base is young boutique liberals who don't usually vote
"Boutique liberals", wonderful! My unscientific sampling of Sanders supporters online shows students in debt, and/or stoners. The extreme example, although a snapshot of his vocal contingent, is someone on Reddit with massive student debt taking out a loan to donate to Sanders. Others proclaim about foregoing groceries so they can burn it on the campaign. I don't think these folks have an answer for debt forgiveness structuring, massive subsidies to make everything "free", or everybody hooked up on federal stipends... duuuude lmao, WHATeverrrrr, just pass it - I want another hit~ Bernie's appeal is narrow, and the results show it.
Divide and conquer, the posts show it. This guy is a self-styled socialist and he's getting delegates.

Black people unanimously decided that they're not interested in socialism, much to the confusion of the usual leftist crowd
It is funny, and they can't actually talk about it other than their surprise for the Clinton numbers, otherwise daz rayciss.
She got Black Lives Matter support by going all-in (well some-in) on gun control, very slick way of drawing a line between herself and the guy who wants to reintroduce the ERA and is rated at 97% on affirmative action by the NAACP. She's running on a Fire Extinguisher platform to get the People On Fire vote.
