Missions are presented on the city map as a matrix of interconnected waypoints and beating missions is as much an exercise in scouting and trailblazing to identify the truly important ones as they are a mad scramble for pieces of upgrade equipment for your mechs. The thing that will throw you for a loop is while you have 4 mechs, they're functionally equivalent to combat stances. Switching between mechs involves taking a turn to teleport one mech out and replace it with another one. The story excuse for this is you're the only pilot left alive in the city. The one thing that might be make or break for you is the main weapons of your mechs are hard set and the equipment you pick up in the mission slots into those weapons like Diablo gems. There are four missions on the map to upgrade each of your mechs to their epic configuration which adds additional weapons and equipment slots. It took me a while to get into it, but I love tactical dungeon crawlers like DROD or TOME that don't bother with food and complicated interfaces. YMMV, but once again, <B>it's free!</B>[/quote]
