I found it very frustrating that I could spend days or weeks writing and recording a song that was implicitly free in the minds of consumers, because you can put it on the internet and download it... meanwhile we go to the art fair here in town and buy wall art for hundreds of dollars, a price which was set arbitrarily by the artist who spent an equivalent amount of time creating that art. Ideas, words, music... consumers consider all that shit essentially valueless and free. Anything that a computer can copy and paste is free. People are mainly willing to trade actual cash money for physical objects. Now, it is true that places like HuffPo have professional online journalists who make a living doing that. I don't know a thing about how to break into that business.[/quote]
