Come on now.[/quote] Okay, I was hoping you would say something like this so I could have a reason to want to do better. I will try very hard to give appropriate, short and meaningful responses when they are appropriate to the subject. But I want one thing. Feedback. Maybe you either don't realize it or don't think about it much. I'm basically a shut-in; since I've also stopped watching news except for what occasionally leaks in, I don't have the clues I used to have to get better context to what I say. What I really want is, if I'm doing something wrong I'd like to be told seriously, not store it in as a build up of anger and hatred. And have some reason why you think what you do. This is something that has taken me a long time to understand because I thought it was inconceivable, or that I never thought other people did the opposite. And that one thing is that <i>I always have exact reasons for everything I do</i>. A lot of people do things and either have no idea why they do them or couldn't even make up a reason. The other problem I have is that "I am a teapot." I am not a pressure cooker. I've always been a teapot. When I get "steamed up" over something I blow it off right away. I discovered later many people - and most men - tend to store up their anger and frustration and when they blow, they blow with tremendous force. Since I'm a little teapot, I blow my stack in small doses, and I get mad fast, and I let it go, fast. Witness Pinback's famous recording of me saying "There's no fucking spirit here." Now, I had to make this longer than I probably should have because I wanted to respond fast before you think I'm ignoring you; when I have to respond quickly I don't have the time to condense and to shorten what I have to say. So that's what I wanted to say. If I can go back to normal, I will do my damndest to make relevant comments, to make them short and to the point, and try to be relevant. But it also means that when I make a mistake I encourage being told not that I'm being an asshole, but <i>why</i> I'm being an asshole so I can understand how not to do it again. Because if you can't explain to someone why you feel something is wrong then it's all opinion and it has no foundation which can reasonably be understood. Because that's all I ever wanted was the opportunity to make comments and to hear replies, and to learn something. And since the comment I want to make fully explaining myself is too long, it will be posted at Caltrops and you can read it there. [/quote]
