U are not an idiot because you don't know, u are an idiot because u have low IQ.

The other solution has been this, but again because I am an idiot I have no clue what an "INF only" or "no monitor switch" is and a google search didn't enlighten me.
Open control panel -> device manager -> pick your device out of the big list -> right-click on it and choose "Update driver software" -> choose "browse my computer for driver software" -> point to the folder where you unzipped their driver package. Basically install the INF file that tells Windows what the piece of hardware is without also installing their monitoring application, which apparently happens automatically if you just run the included setup program? A "no monitor switch" is a different way of accomplishing the same thing, by creating a new shortcut to the aforementioned setup program (right-click -> send to -> desktop(create shortcut)) -> right-clicking the shortcut and appending the switch /v"NO_MONITOR=1" to the target location, for example Target: c:BACKSLASHwindowsBACKSLASHdesktopBACKSLASHunzipped-stone-driver-packageBACKSLASHsetup.exe /v"NO_MONITOR=1" (All my backslashes disappeared Jonsey fix your forum you dolt.) Before attempting either of these things you will obviously want to make sure the monitoring application isn't already installed on your system, and if it is get rid of it somehow (that's what she said). Watch out for IRQ conflicts w/ your soundbalaster.
