Re: I wasn't going to watch the trailer because OMG SO BORING but all the theolo

Yeah, calling him a Jesus doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The part where he layed a gravel-voiced gadget-laced beatdown on a bunch of thugs reminded me more of Batman. Then the part where he activated his Batmobile armor reminded me of the Batmobile. The parts where he was floating face down in a swimming pool could indicate either William Holden or Jason Statham, I guess depending on whether he got there as a result of bleakly urbane psychodrama or leaping away from an explosion. Basically if you told me this was the cyberpunk batman guy from Watch_Dogs or the other cyberpunk batman guy from that Syndicate reboot (they're different guys right?) I wouldn't have any specific reason to doubt you.
Well, with a trailer you're not looking at gameplay so that's not the reason for watching. The graphics are going to be much better than what a target system can display so it's not that. Any narration is usually out of character so it doesn't give insight to the writing. I've yet to see a bug in a trailer so it won't tell you about QA. What it CAN do is tell you about the art direction, let you know if the voice actor is coming back or not, let you know if the previous game's composer got hired on again and maybe give you some indication as to the plot. This trailer did all those things. And it looks great. We won't see gameplay with those graphics but it looks great. I'm not too into the Batman comparison because it sounds like people are equating player characters that can do a lot of things (or "have a lot of verbs" as we say in the... nobody says that) as Batman. The wizard from Baldur's Gate can do a lot of things by the end of the game, but he or she isn't Batman. Other non-Batman things would be the full two-minutes of camera time where he, er, murders all those guys. :) the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!
