I can't think of a worse last boss fight out of any RPG in memory*. Chase and whittle down an annoying cultist with a ton of health as she does nothing but bounce around pillars in the room like they were pinball bumpers. Money was ridiculously tight until the last 20% of the game when suddenly you have more than you can spend. All the best Shadowrunners become free and you don't need to buy a thing other than a couple medkits and the best rifle/shotgun. Spells were all inferior to what could be done with guns. Spirit Summoning was inferior to what could be done with Rigger drones. Conjuring was crazy useless, as inferior to spells as spells were to guns. I don't regret playing it and can chalk up most of the shortcomings to a kickstarter team's first attempt at reviving a franchise no one has touched in 20 years. Interested to see how Dragonfall improves on it. What that DOESN'T excuse is why they didn't just copy paste the Genesis game's hacking mechanics. * the worst last boss fight involving pillars actually goes to Amnesia The Dark Descent, a terrible game (the demo tricks you by consisting of the best 10 minutes of the whole game). I played the audio of a longplay video in the background just to find out what happened. After spending the entire game fixing elevators and other devices in the most overrated horror game since System Shock 2 (<b>worse</b> than SS2), you finally reach the inner sanctum and confront Dr Manhattan, who just sits there pleading, "Come on now, stop that" as you tip over a couple stands.
