Huge throngs of protesters descended on the capitol but Walker refused to meet with union leaders to negotiate, saying he was "too busy." This is why the "Koch Whore" phonecall is even more outrageous, because when Walker was too busy to speak to his own constituents, when some dude pretending to be a California Billionaire called up, Walker dropped everything and scampered to the phone to say, "Hi boss! I did a good thing, huh boss?" But in the end the actual David Koch gave Walker the "help" he asked for, the Democrats once again displayed their superhuman ability to fuck up an opportunity by fielding the guy who had just lost to Walker as their recall candidate, and the rest is history.
