The problem with cherries are the goddam stones
I have a nutriblast juicer and I use it about every day. By mixing fruits and vegetables I get a lot more than I could normally eat in a salad. I've found carrots are an interesting problem. They have lots of fiber, which both makes them nutritious but it also means carrots tend to overpower everything, But the biggest problem is with cherries. Normally, when you use the juicer you just throw whatever you're going to have in the container, add water, and pulverize. I mean, I throw in strawberries and I don't even have to take the leaves off. But cherries have a big stone (seed) in them, and it's problematic. Cherries have a nice flavor and good sugar levels that help to compensate for vegetables and fruits like strawberries that are slightly sour. But while cherries are a nice fruit, the goddam stones cause a big problem because they are so big. With grapes, the seeds are so small either the chopping blades break them up, or they remain small enough you don't notice them. But with cherries, either the stones don't break at all and you have huge seeds, or they break into large grit making the mix taste funny. So I simply eat the cherries as pick-up fruit, and spit the stones into my slop bucket. Damn shame I can't juice them.
