To clarify weapons degrading
My rapier falls to 10% durability after MAYBE 10 minutes. They give you 3 weapon slots on each hand now and resting at a bonfire automatically repairs everything, but it still feels like they knew durability wasn't that important in dark souls and they didn't want to REMOVE IT (because that would just be INSANE), so they turned it into "your sword basically has ammo now". It's a step above M&MX where your stuff will break completely at random on blocks and a step below pretty much everything else. Maybe it gets better later and it's to make new players try out a whole mess of weapons instead of relying on one. I'm pretty sure everyone already DID experiment in Dark Souls, so there wasn't any pressing need to force it. I think the health thing is a good compromise between Demon Souls and Dark Souls. You can summon people without being 100% human now, so it's at least not as backwards as before (unless I'm wrong about summons). Bows still break the AI :( My only problem with blight town was that once you were in it, it was TOTAL FUCKING BULLSHIT to climb your way back up through either path. Now that you have fast travel from the start, I can't imagine it's as terrible as before. There have been entirely too many jumps (more than zero). All of them are instadeath for failure. The new default jump button is to click down on the left stick while you're running. It somehow feels worse than before.
