The guy who said the thing about Lois put together some groveling apology and people were still telling him to kill himself. This is great. We can all laugh and be delighted of this. And SWC finds it and reports back. As for Wittgenstein, every time he posts he makes fun of icycalm. Sure, he becomes unspeakably mad pretty quickly. How is that not great? Things are more interesting with him around. VALUE.[/quote] Here's the last serious thing I'll ever say on Caltrops. God help me. The point of Caltrops, in my mind, is not just linking to awful things. Every site does that. The "magic" of Caltrops is that there is a group of people that point out terrible, awful content and then <i>fight with each other about it.</i> It's a group of people -- all of whom are utterly free to leave at any time -- that say the most hurtful things imaginable to each other because someone else, a third party, made a terrible web comic or movie or book or awful video game. Everyone is angrier for having visited, but none of us can seem to stop coming. The shitty content leads to a bunch of lunatics yelling at each other, because the creators of that content would never come here directly. I love this site, and I love you all because of that. It's the funniest thing in the world to me. There is no logical reason for anyone to visit this site, but we do it all the time. We're doing it <i>now.</i> the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey![/quote]
