Peter Molyneux's The Movies

I am agreeing with everything you're saying.
There is hope for you yet, Choson.
Haven't read the original comic, but after seeing the horrendous trailer, I was really impressed with the actual film.
Read them. I was just as meh at the prospects of seeing Sin City until I thumbed through a copy of Marv's story, the Hard Goodbye, a friend of mine loaned me along with Hartigan's tale, That Yellow Bastard. They were good. The movie is nearly as. Also: Word is the coming DVD has scenes that were cut purely for time, such as Marv visiting his mother to pick up his Gladys, along with the option watch each story individually. As for the dialogue? Almost all of it was verbatim from the comics. I think the website even has comparisons from stills in the movie to panels of Miller's work.
I'm not a big fan of fake strippers not showing their tits though, ALBA.

"It never occurred to me that someday I would be fighting for a part in which I played a stripper," says Alba, whose first major role was as the genetically enhanced title character in James Cameron's short-lived action-sci-fi TV series, "Dark Angel." "But my agent got a hold of the script for 'Sin City," and I was like, 'Oh yeah, I want to play her.' "
Only you didn't. You wanted your clothes on.
