Re: Stop going for your audience's heads and go for their groins.

This is essentially what your game pages do. You point out all the impressive awards you've won and all but say, "Nuff said!"
You're absolutely correct! There is nothing in that opening page that even describes the games. Man. Thanks, dude.
I wouldn't remove the game awards from your page, but I'd give them a lower priority than the experience the player will get from buying the shit you're hawking. Will they laugh til it hurts? Will they be overwhelmed with nostalgia? Will they come away vindicated by the brain-twisters they've just solved? Will the real world melt away and they find themselves in a magical electronic world of beauty and wonder? Point out the experience first and foremost, then point out all the awards as a final nudge to players who are still on the fence.
Yeah, I gotta decide what it is I want to do. I was at the Oklahoma Video Game Exhibition on Saturday. I sold two hard copies of Crypto. Now... this is a free game in a dead genre, but still -- I had the game discs out and nothing else. Partially this was because I was flying into Oklahoma and couldn't exactly make a huge-ass sign. But there was nothing stopping me from making the sign the other 364 days of the year. I'll make changes when I get a chance based off your feedback, MM. Thank you. Would you have any time over the next week to see if what I am working on is any fun? It's at the stage where I can still accept feedback AND implement it if there's awful UI mechanics. ICJ
