Back to School Sale
Full list of sales here. Beyond Good & Evil is $5 (50% off), and worth at least four times that much. Symphony of the Night is $2.50 (75% off), and worth at least twenty times that much. I bought Hard Corps: Uprising for $3.75 (75% off), because I like side-scrolling run 'n' guns and that seems a reasonable price for one, more or less regardless of quality (*glances sideways at MUTANT CHRONICLES: DOOM TROOPERS and TOM MASON'S DINOSAURS FOR HIRE cartridges*). Also, the intro movie had exciting guitar music, which heated up my blood. I'm probably going to buy Puzzle Quest for $5 (50% off), because it's by Steve Fawkner's Infinite Interactive, and I used to love their Warlords series of turn-based strategy titles back in the '90s. I'm undecided on Hydro Thunder Hurricane; it looks like a fun example of the tragically underrepresented speedboat racing genre, but $7.50 is kind of a lot to ask for a video game. Can my nostalgia for the Dreamcast original overcome my natural tight-fistedness? Check back next week to find out.
