Just finished it. Reminded me of Scott Pilgrim...
...in that there was nothing wrong with any of the parts, but it completely wore out its welcome and was not worth the investment it demanded of its audience. The GOB episodes were the highlight, as could be expected. Good thing they started putting him in right as my interest was waning. *SPOILERZ FOLLOW* Actually I take it back, there were a lot of parts I didn't like about it. Yeah there were connections aplenty, but that alone can't carry a show. Who thought the character of Maebe could carry a whole episode? I liked George Sr. in the original show, but this new season decided the best thing to do with his character was take away the low-key sleazeball personality that made him funny in the first place. I did like seeing the corruption of George Michael, but who the hell wanted to see the corruption of Michael? The whole crux of the show was that he was the nice guy getting dragged down by his obnoxious family. Now there's no straight man. God, the more I look back at it, the more I find the non-GOB parts to be a letdown. I think I'm cancelling Netflix again. (Also, I said the 1993 movie Sirens for a reason!)
