KTVU, Oakland, California reported that a "summer intern" at the NTSB gave them the wrong names as to the pilots on board the Asiana Airlines plane that crashed in San Francisco. The TV station broadcast the report, which was wrong, and then discovered the names were bogus and offensive to Asian Americans (as well as riotously funny.) Apparently, nobody bothered to sound out the names or someone might have figured their leg was being pulled, with a really long chain.
