Tansin A. Darcos's Alter Ego

And I just realized something. "We are the dreamers of dreams."
As it turned out, I happened to have the local PBS station and they're running Dr. Wayne Dwyer and he had a number of positive statements about things and a video of affirmations related to his book, "Wish Fulfilled." And that's when I realized something. He speaks about what we are and what we can be, and I kind of realized something. Everything everyone said to put down and denegrate the Macintosh I bought was wrong. For whatever reason, Windows fanboyism or whatever, all of you who said anything put the thing down, that I can't do anything with it, that I can't write programs for it, that it's not worth having, yadda, yadda, yadda. And I realize something. (Blows raspberry). You're just jealous! I am able to get things done and accomplish things with it. There are things about it I don't like; the way the home and end key work infuriate me, but that's because they did things differently. Some of what they did were great ideas and there are things where I think that bad choices were made, but if I had had more practice doing things that way I'd probably dislike the way Windows does things. And from now on I think, no, I know, I need to think more about what I am capable of doing, and stop dwelling on my limitations. Yeah, I have problems. Yeah, I have aches and pains, yeah, things don't always work the way I want them to. (Blows raspberry again). As (in the background) Dr. Dwyer is saying on the TV, we are what we imagine ourselves to be. "That which you feel yourself to be, and that which you choose to be, you will become." That which we say we are is much more powerful than what we wish we were. Dwyer says that 96% of what we are is what we program our subconscious mind to be. And maybe that's why I have problems because I haven't made myself want to be better than I am. Or, as Willy Wonka said when Veruca Salt said there are no snozzberries, (or rather, that nobody ever heard of them), "We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams."
