I could agree with her, but there are still some points I take issue with
Adaptions can't count. Beating your chest about The Darkness(Video Game) using Jenny as Damsel in the Fridge is kind of ridiculous since it's just based off a comic book. We can't really blame game developers for adapted stories that have these kind of easy-outs in them. Sure it would be better if it was Frank Castle's gay lover and adopted Chinese son being murdered, but unfortunately I don't think Marvel is going to grant Volition, Inc. that sort of creative freedom. I guess if they specifically killed Jenny JUST for the video-game then yeah, that's pretty fucking rough. Japanese games probably shouldn't count. Unless sexism suddenly became an issue that needs to be(or can be) solved globally I don't see the point in propping up Japanese games. You're going to have enough hard time actualizing this change with developers who speak your language. Much less ones who don't speak your language and come from a wildly different culture. It's just needlessly fleshing out the video with things that will REALLY never change. No Japanese developers are going to be effected by these videos and Japanese students sure as shit aren't going to ever see your learning materials. Complaining about the quality of writing while you struggle to fill 25 minutes by making half of it video clips is a little hard to swallow too. Wasn't this thing about engaging gamers in language they can understand? A few seconds in and it sounds like I'm reading the Communist Manifesto, NO THANKS PINKO. It's a definite improvement but she's just so drab and awful, I guess we're lucky she actually bothering to do the videos at all. Since the money is already spent.
