Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs

This describes me pretty well, too.

Am I getting a fun, new experience that I haven't seen too many times? OR Am I getting an interesting story? (Let's not get crazy - you rarely, if ever, get both.) I'm good for about four games in a genre before I get sick of that genre. The reason I don't post reviews of games much any more is because I have seen the things they do as games and none of them have a good enough story to where it's not embarrassing to sit through. Really good graphics can help me re-experience a genre, but not when they fuck everything up in that genre, like the XCOM game. Anyway, that's just me. ICJ
Regarding whether older gamers will eventually drop out of the hobby, I think it's more likely that I will rage quit the hobby. Not because I'm become more unstable as I age (although it contributes ;) ) but because I'm tired of these fuckers making the same mistakes over and over. Warlock: Master of the Arcane, I have to move units hundreds if not thousands of times per game. Why did you waste time making little animations for moving and combat? If I watched them every time I'd still be a quarter of the way through my first game rather than having played through three full games. For fuck's sake, the game released without hotkeys and I have to click an extra time to skip every movement and combat animation. Are you trying to make my index finger fall off Oh and the AI sucks too. It appears to have a quota of naval units it must produce per game. Who cares if the only water body is ten hexes large? FILL IT WITH BOATS. KEEP THE ENEMY OUT OF THE WATER BY LITERALLY LEAVING NO SPACE FOR THEM TO PUT A BOAT. To my great shame I've never played a text adventure. Your post may have inspired me to try one.
