Star Trek: Enterprise could have been saved.
I've probably thought way too much about this topic, BUT if they did the following: 1. Drop the whole Temporal Cold War horseshit COMPLETELY. And the Xindi too. We all know that they're going to use time travel as a cheap episode plot anyway, so why not confine it to that. 2. Seasons 1-3, if you want to do the season-long arc thing, should have been a buildup to the Federation-Romulan War, an event that's almost completely blank in Star Trek backstory meaning you can do whatever the hell you want with it. Start with the creation of the Federation in season 2 or 3 instead of at the very end (like they did). Season 1 & 2 should have been where all that Andorian-Vulcan-Tellarite conflict took place. 3. Don't even bother showing Klingons until late in the show. Christ, they're like 750 light years away. Let's focus on all the stuff in between here and there first. 4. Towards the end of the show, then start bringing in friction with the Klingons. Do an "All Good Things" style episode which gives them an excuse to be royally pissed off at the Federation for 200 years.
