It's even funnier that the people who think I remind them of pretentious people almost always come at it from a reasonable, rational, educated approach. They throw in a few chummy knocks, then make it very clear that they've read me like a book. Bill, let me tell you a little something I've learned about people: the people who post to internet message boards about how well they know other people are all wasting their time. This includes me! The people who post posts like yours to internet message boards - people who really get personal when it comes to pretentions - are people who are sensitive to being told that they are unoriginal. They need attention and validation. You were hoping for responses. You, specifically, personally, wanted a response from me. Here you are, Bill. I'm a big, fat, drunk, prententious woman replying to your post. This is what you're doing with your weekend. And you just tried to tell me what a closeted waste of time I am, so here is your rope, and here is the knot you tied in it, and here you are putting it around your own neck.
