Well the boss fights were farmed out to another studio, possibly the cutscenes?
Honestly I didn't mind the Boss fights themselves, moreso the framing of them and the cutscenes thereafter. This game was one part Deus Ex and one part homage to Metal Gear Solid. On Panchea there are hallways that look exactly like the one where you meet Grey Fox in MGS1, stealth is a core part of the game, and boss fights are ridiculous and over the top. I feel like some content was cut somewhere in the game for whatever reason, this ends up with the game just having no good ending and to contribute to that I think pieces were left out of the story. I feel like there were supposed to be nonlethal boss kills, this is sort of hinted at in post-boss cinematics, you never kill the bosses, they self destruct(this makes it feel like MGS2). These choices could have contributed to the ending or conspiracy SOMEHOW, it would have been nice. Namir mentions your troubles with Megan which is to imply she left you and you'll never get her back. It seems like there could have been different dialog if you left his little cyborg girlfriend alive. Also I think Megan was supposed to be complicit in the kidnapping from the beginning, it would have added something interesting to the stockholm syndrome that's never followed up on or explained. Eliza could have contacted you earlier in the game too. Certain parts just felt too rushed. The game could have took a lot more time on things. If Adam's injuries were played in game that would have been awesome. You fight some augmented guys and your arm gets mangled, then you lose your legs, and then you learn they're just the grunts. There could have been more quests in every Hub. Perhaps make Adam some kind of mini-celebrity to introduce him to the Eliza character better, Sarif uses him to attempt marketing ... whatever. It's so obvious that Megan didn't die, but the game keeps acting like you shouldn't know. It becomes obvious from the start that Adam is magic, but the game goes on as if you don't know. If a few of these things were fleshed out I think the story would have felt much better.
