Deus Ex 3

I just replayed this and think I was too hard on it overall. *spoilers*
The ending is horrible but they seemed to really want an ending that could be totally meaningless as to not have to deal with how HR fit in the Deus Ex "canon", not that anyone really cared about that. Hugh Darrow enacts a master stroke to stop the Illuminati from enslaving man kind and has his resolve broken by a security chief. They just couldn't end it or didn't want to, even getting to see Adam come back or not would have been fine. Most every cutscene would have looked better in-engine, further each of them makes you think that there was a spare/kill option built into it but there isn't one. Namir foreshadows something about your problems with Megan but she's whisked off, you press a button, and the game ends. I feel like it could be interesting if there was some debate scene with her to reveal she was complicit from the beginning or something weird like that. Though beyond that it really was a lot of fun, it was more like a merging of Deus Ex and Metal Gear Solid 2, complete with some pretty obvious homage, than a straight up sequel. However I would have liked to see something that made it feel like it was improving on a game from 2000, rather than just trying to match it.
