I just really can't stand Tom Cruise, is my main problem with Minority Report

It is kind of a problem with both movies that instead of sticking with one magical premise (time travel) they both end up having wizards in them. FUN FACT: the psychic wizard from MR does the voice of Ruby from the show Max and Ruby, which was the bane of my existence in 2011.
Yeah, Tom Cruise being able to play one guy throughout his career (arguably two if you want to say that the guy in Magnolia was different from all his other roles) really ruins Minority Report for me. I don't think Looper is going to age poorly. Even if JGL goes crazy in twenty years, he hardly looks like JGL in this. When he becomes a Scientologist in 2025, this movie will be useless to them. Ha! Ha ha! When you go in knowing that Spielberg produced Minority Report, you know it's only going to push things so far. Nobody's losing their face in a Spielberg movie, kids aren't getting shot and so forth. Plus. Plus!! How often do you get a genuinely good performance out of a little kid? Once every ten years? I am extremely up for Looper! ICJ
