Re: So what did everyone end up buying

Warhammer 2 (both sequels, all the DLC). - Last Man Standing seems awesome. Is there one I should play at the exclusion to others? I've heard the First is repetitive? And so far it seems like small unit squads in similar scenarios in order to test out new gear and tactics.
Dawn of War 2? There really isn't any reason to get the original or Chaos Rising unless you really really need to play the campaign. Retribution has all you'll need. Last Man Standing was awesome when I first played it on release, but League of Legends has ruined it for me. I have yet to play a team horde mode game with decently balanced stuff. The problem with Last Man standing is the glacial pace you unlock new gear. Retribution makes it even more obnoxious by taking the Team Fortress 2 route and forcing you to complete achievements to get certain gear. The other problem is the pacing. The first 6 waves are braindead easy and it quickly grows monotonous having to play through them each time. Retribution added a new map that's a challenge right from the start, but it doesn't give any more experience than the original map and since experience is based solely on what wave you reached you're forced to keep grinding the boring easy levels of the Colosseum map if you ever want to level up. Tip: every hero but the Farseer and Marine are worthless for getting very far. All the other heroes don't scale with the later waves. Tip 2: DON'T build your hero as a tank for the Colosseum map. It becomes literally impossible to beat wave 16.
