I'm way more interested in these videos than another fucking Leisure Suit Larry.
Did you ever hear of Heartbreak & Heroines? That's kind of a funny story. This male-to-female transsexual named Caiomhe Ora Snow put up a Kickstarter to raise $3,000 to develop a "feminist" version of Dungeons & Dragons. Almost immediately, her campaign became a target of criticism on RPG.net, partly from developers who thought her pitch was incredibly vague and who questioned her ability to deliver anything more "feminist" than the hundreds of free D&D clones already available (especially their own), partly from gamers who had personal experience with Caiomhe and thought she was a despicable human being, and partly from smelly guys who just plain hated women and anything associated with same (there's always a few). Meanwhile, the white knight brigade responded predictably, opening their wallets and their hearts, rocketing Caiomhe's Kickstarter over the top and getting as many of the hateful trolls as possible banned and their discussions shut down, once again making RPG.net a safe haven for tolerance and understanding and congratulatory backslapping. That's when Caiomhe's ex-girlfriend decided to speak up. You see, not only was Caiomhe a strident feminist and perpetual target of persecution at the hands of internet trolls, she was also a real-life rapist who literally raped a woman with her actual dick. Here, read this account by one of her victim's friends, it's fucking nuts. Needless to say, anyone who ever said a bad word about Caiomhe stayed banned, the threads where everyone else went to praise her courage and defend her honour got disappeared overnight, and the mods quickly enacted a strict and unspoken let's-never-speak-of-it-again policy. If there's one thing I took away from the whole hilarious fiasco, it's that you haven't seen white knighting until you've seen guys who own actual replica medieval armour white knighting. And that random internet nerds can sometimes be pretty bad judges of what's best for all women, everywhere - but I already kinda figured that.
