Peter Molyneux's The Movies

This reminds me of Hot Tub Time Machine
I'm sure there are flat out worse movies, but off the top of my head I can't think of any that are lazier. It mimics Back to the Future (at one point a character is performing a concert and must leave for something important, but can't resist showboating with an ahead of its time song) the way HHGG mimics the show and book: by being mostly the exact same plot but removing all the jokes and essential plot elements. The entire point of BttF was a fish out of water story allowing a teenager to relate to his parents by seeing them at his age. HTTM has the characters go back to a time they lived through, in events that already happened to them, without anything being upset or changing. In the place of any fucking point at all, they insert "jokoids" like pointing out that phones were big or that Reagan was president or wanting to see how a guy with a hook hand lost his limb as he goes through several close calls. ha ha? Did we mention that the Delorean is a hot tub! That runs on energy drink? Super Mario Brothers!
