Devil May Cry 3

Re: My only question.

My Blockbuster in it's infinite wisdom went with the invoice of Devil May Cry 3 X 3 Dragon Ball Budokai X 20 Devil May Cry 2 X 1 So, all that was there was Devil May Cry 2. I was wondering if that was similar enough to the first to be used as a substitute for liking the first, which I haven't played. I had a ball with DMC 2 on a rental and can imagine becoming a huge fag and getting S^43 on every level and liking it for awhile until I get to SUPER-HARD and launch my controller right into Dante's 200 red orb jeans and crack my TV. I just want to make sure it isn't some huge departing from the series so I'm not in for a big suprise. The game really reminds me of Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman which to this day is the only DMC-type game I've every played. I'm planning on buying the first DMC because it's probably about two bucks, and the second and third in a little while so I don't get totally hosed. Though I'm going to rent the third. If by some chance someone besides me hear finds a copy of Rising Zan I suggest you try that if you liked DMC, it's pretty damn fun.
DMC2 was the crappy sequel everyone is saying DMC3 has redeemed. If you like DMC2, you will be in hog heaven with DMC1/3 and will get your pasty white ass kicked into the ground because they are 3 orders of magnitude tougher than DMC2. It's also worth mentioning that the normal difficulty mode for the japanese DMC3 is the easy mode for the american DMC3. USA! USA! LET'S ROCK!
